Boysenberries have a sweet-tart flavor and are awesome for fresh eating, jams and jellies, preserves, wine and pies.
Boysenberries develop trailing canes 4 to 6 feet long and should be attached to a trellis or wall. Fruits are harvested in spring and have a very short shelf life, so growing your own is a great idea.
Boysenberries do best in full sun, well-drained and slightly acidic soil. Zones 5-10.
